One Question, Start to Finish

Here's exactly what happens in the seconds after you ask — and why you walk away understanding the question, not just answering it.

1 You ask

Highlight the question or snap a photo

AP Biology · Chapter 12 Quiz

Which statement best describes the outcome of mitosis?

A) Four haploid gamete cells B) Two identical daughter cells C) One cell with doubled DNA D) Two genetically unique cells

Works on Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle — and virtually any LMS in your browser.

2 Apex works it out

Reads it, then checks its own answer

Picks up the subject and the question type
Routes to the right model for the job
Cross-checks against 3 course-level sources
Scores its confidence before it shows you anything

Typical turnaround: about 1.7 seconds.

3 You understand it

The answer — plus the why behind it

B) Two identical daughter cells

High confidence

Why that's the answer

The parent cell copies every one of its chromosomes.
The matching copies are pulled apart into two new nuclei.
You end up with 2 cells carrying the parent's exact chromosome set.
